FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956, and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Featherston County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely road works in connection with Martin’s Bridge, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open for inspection without fee, by all persons, during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land (not being an objector to the amount or payment of compensation), must state their objections in writing and send the written objections within 40 days from the date of first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough. If any objection is made as aforesaid, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the date and place of the hearing.

TAURANGA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Renewal Loan No. 1, 1970 of $12,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Tauranga City Council held on 9 November 1970 the following resolution was passed:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $12,000, authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of refinancing securities maturing on 15 December 1970, the said Tauranga City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought nought three four nine (0.00349) cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Tauranga, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the said loan being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Renewal Loan No. 2, 1970 of $36,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Tauranga City Council held on 9 November 1970 the following resolution was passed:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $36,000, authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of refinancing securities maturing on 15 December 1970, the said Tauranga City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought one nought four seven (0.01047) cents in the dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Tauranga, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the said loan being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Natural Gas Supplementary Loan 1970 of $29,450

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal repayments on a special loan to be known as the Natural Gas Supplementary Loan 1970 of $29,450, authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, for the purpose of meeting part of the costs of reticulating natural gas the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0109 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 20 years from the date of the raising of the said loan, or until such loan is fully paid off.

Water Supply Improvements Redemption Loan 1970, $63,400

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $63,400 known as the “Water Supply Improvements Redemption Loan 1970 of $63,400” to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Water Supply Improvements Loan 1964, $360,000 which matures on 1 December 1970, the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .0215 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-four (24) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
