Notice of Intention to Vary Hours for Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises--Ashburton Licensing Trust
Pursuant to subsection 10 of section 34B of the Licensing Trusts Act 1949, as inserted by section 3 (1) of the Licensing Trusts Amendment Act 1967, I, Eric Alderson Missen, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Ashburton Licensing Trust passed the following resolution:
"(a) That the Moore Street premises comprising the bottle store and wholesale department be open for trading during the following hours: Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
"(b) That the Allenton bottle store be open for trading during the following hours: Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. except from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. when closed for lunch."

Insurance Companies' Deposits Act 1953--Proposed Release of Deposits
THE Southland Sawmillers' Mutual Accident Insurance Co. has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on business in New Zealand in respect of all classes of insurance business, and that it proposes to withdraw all deposits which have been made by it with the Public Trustee pursuant to section 19 of the above-mentioned Act.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act, that, subject to his being satisfied that all the liabilities of the said company in New Zealand in respect of all classes of insurance business have been fully liquidated or provided for, he proposes to release to the company, on or after 31 January 1971, the amounts deposited with him by the said company.
Any objections to the release of the amounts deposited should be lodged with the Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or before the 18th day of December 1970.

Notice Fixing Maximum Amounts Payable for Goodwill of Business of Milk Vendors Throughout New Zealand
NOTICE is hereby given that the New Zealand Milk Board has determined, pursuant to section 32 of the Milk Act 1967, that, as from and including the 19th day of November 1970, the maximum price which may be charged by any milk vendor (as that term is defined in section 2 of the Milk Act 1967) who owns a milk round (as that term is defined in section 2 of the Milk Act 1967) for goodwill on the sale of the business of such milk vendor shall not exceed in respect of the sale of such business a sum for goodwill calculated at the rate of $24 per gallon of milk sold retail and $8 per gallon of milk sold wholesale, based on the daily average gallonage of milk sold on such round calculated over the preceding period of 12 months, or, if such round has not been in existence in an identifiable form for such a period, then calculated over such period as the round has been in an identifiable form.
No goodwill may be paid in respect of any other aspect of a milk vending business as hereinbefore defined.
The foregoing provisions of this determination shall be interpreted subject to the power of the Board from time to time to fix different maxima pursuant to the provisions of subsection (3) of section 32 of the Milk Act 1967.
For the purpose of the foregoing provisions of this determination-
(a) Milk sold retail is that sold to commercial users or consumers in quantities of less than 2 gallons in each lot delivered.
(b) Milk sold wholesale is that sold to commercial users or consumers in quantities of 2 gallons and over in each lot delivered or sold to occupiers of shop dairies in any quantity.
(c) "Shop dairy" shall have the meaning ascribed to it in the Milk Price Notice 1968 (S.R. 1968/128).
(d) Milk does not include cream.
Notice is also hereby given that the New Zealand Milk Board has also determined, pursuant to section 32 of the Milk Act 1967, that, as from and including the 19th day of November 1970, the maximum price which may be charged by any milk vendor (as that term is defined in section 2 of the Milk Act 1967) who operates but does not own a milk round (as that term is defined in section 2 of the Milk Act 1967) for goodwill on the sale of the business of such vendor shall not exceed in respect of the sale of such business a sum of $1.00.
This determination replaces the previous determination of the New Zealand Milk Board, notice of which was published in the New Zealand Gazette of 22 August 1968, No. 53, at page 1431.
This determination shall apply throughout New Zealand.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
