THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


O R D E R

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. Investments—The principal order is hereby amended by revoking clause 11 (as substituted by clause 2 of the Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 1, and amended by clause 2 of the Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 2), and substituting the following clause:

“11. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsections (5) and (6) of section 24 of the Act, money which is invested under paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 24 of the Act on mortgages of estates or interests in land occupied or to be occupied by officers of the Bank for residential purposes shall be invested on such terms and conditions as the Minister may approve in writing.”

  1. Revocations—The following regulations are hereby consequentially revoked:

(a) The Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 1:

(b) The Wanganui Savings Bank Order 1963, Amendment No. 2.
