RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Land Purchase Loan 1970, $24,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $24,000, authorised to be raised by the Raglan
County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of purchasing land for recreational purposes, meeting
the cost of fencing and legal expenses, and providing public
amenities, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal nought one eight five of a cent (.0185c)
in the dollar ($) upon the unimproved value of all rateable
property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan, and
that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of the loan, and be paid yearly on the 1st day
of September in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 28th day
of September 1970.

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1970, $500,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of $500,000 authorised to be raised by the Cambridge
Borough Council under the above-mentioned act for the purpose of collecting and treating sewage, the said Cambridge
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal eight
five cents (.85 cents) in the dollar upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Borough of Cambridge, and that the said
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Cambridge Borough Council held on the 17th day of
September 1970.

COUNTY OF OPOTIKI

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1970

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Opotiki County Council resolved on the 16th day of September 1970, as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $30,000 authorised to be raised by the Opotiki
County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural
Housing Act 1939, the said Opotiki County Council hereby
makes a special rate of 0.0646 cents in the dollar upon the
rateable value of all rateable property within the County of
Opotiki; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and shall be
payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day
of October in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Development Loan 1970, $450,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as
follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of four hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($450,000),
authorised to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric
Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit
of the Board's district, the said South Canterbury Electric
Power Board hereby makes a special rate of twenty-one
thousandths of a cent (0.021c) in the dollar ($) upon the
rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable
property within the South Canterbury Electric Power District,
as defined in the First Schedule to the Proclamation dated
1 July 1970, and published in the New Zealand Gazette,
on 9 July 1970, at page 1195, and that the special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Baths Loan 1970, $62,000

"PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of completing the tepid swimming
pool on Maori Park including associated facilities, the said
Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal
nought two six two (.0262) cents in the dollar upon the rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the City of Timaru, and that the said
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
the said loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is
fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru
City Council held on the 21st day of September 1970.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

SPECIAL ORDER

THE Auckland Regional Authority in exercise of the powers
vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963,
section 42, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon
it by Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, in exercise of all other
powers and authorities enabling it on that behalf, doth hereby
resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special
order, to borrow the sum of $69,000 as a special loan to be
known as Forestry Encouragement Loan No. 1, 1970-$69,000,
for the purposes of and incidental to the establishment and
maintenance of a plantation of approximately 870 acres in the
Hunua Catchment Area.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting
of the Auckland Regional Authority convened for that purpose, and held on 17 August 1970, and confirmed at an
ordinary meeting of the said Authority held on 21 September
1970, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star
on 22 August and 5 September 1970.
