CERTIFIED copy of resolution making special rate as security for the Mount Albert Gladstone Road Overbridge Redemption Loan 1970, of $16,000, passed by the Mount Albert Borough Council at a meeting held on 8 September 1970.

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of $16,000 known as the Gladstone Road Overbridge Redemption Loan 1970 of $16,000, for the purpose of repaying on maturity the Gladstone Road Overbridge Loan 1960 of $20,000 which matures on 11 October 1970, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought three (.003) of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of $24,000 known as the Morningside Stormwater Drainage Redemption Loan 1970 of $24,000, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Morningside Stormwater Drainage Loan 1957 of $188,000 which matures on 25 October 1970, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought four five (.0045) of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies open to public inspection at the office of the Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

Every person affected is hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice. A public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Staff Housing Loan 1970, $50,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $50,000, authorised to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing staff housing or making advances to employees for housing, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0305 cents in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Rodney, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.
