Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for elderly people, the Thames Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.044553 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Thames, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Ngongotaha Community Hall Supplementary Loan 1970, $2,950

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $2,950 authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purposes for which the Ngongotaha Community Hall loan 1969, of $29,500 was sanctioned, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0122 cents in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Ngongotaha County Town District, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Rotorua County Council held on Tuesday, the 25th day of August 1970.

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Repayment Loan No. 2, 1970—$62,200

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council resolves:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $62,200 authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Sewer Reticulation Loan No. 2 Area 1963 of $580,000, the Roading Loan No. 3, 1963 of $360,000, and the Storm Water Drainage Loan 1963 of $80,000, which mature on 8 September 1970, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two six nine three seven cents in the dollar (.026937c in $) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the said Borough, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until such loan is fully paid off and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said rate as security for the said loan.

THE POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Renewal Loan 1970, $120,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of a portion ($220,000) of the Extensions Loan 1959 of $520,000,

the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one nought eight (0.0108) of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric Power District as is contained in the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), Waikohu County, Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the Hutt County Council passed the following resolution at its meeting on 3 September 1970:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of land purchase and development of the Whenua Tapu Cemetery, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one six two (.0162) cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hutt, and that the special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Domain Swimming Pool Supplementary Loan $1,300

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, etc., the Temuka Borough Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of $1,300 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of meeting additional costs of constructing a swimming pool and associated buildings in the Temuka Domain, the Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.023 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all property within the Borough of Temuka, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, until the loan is fully paid off.”
