RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 5, 1970

THAT, whereas the sum of $14,400 borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Titirangi and Waikumete “A” Sewerage Loan 1963, $606,000, is due and payable on the 2nd day of November 1970, and whereas, the sum of $12,800 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $12,800 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $12,800 shall be payable on the 1st day of November 1994, or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 5, 1970, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0214 cents in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Titirangi and Waikumete “A” special area, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

Orewa County Town Sewer Reticulation Loan 1969, $1,341,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $1,341,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing sewerage reticulation and sewerage treatment for the Orewa County Town, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1.9025 cents in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property situate in the Orewa County Town, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June and in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT, whereas the sum of $24,800 borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Water Supply Development Loan No. 1, 1964—$164,000, is due and payable on the 2nd day of November 1970, and whereas, the sum of $22,100 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $22,100 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $22,100 shall be payable on the 1st day of November 1994, or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 7, 1970, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0017 cents in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Waitemata, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

THAT, whereas the sum of $20,800 borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Waipareira “C” Sewerage Loan 1963, $504,000, is due and payable on the 2nd day of November 1970, and whereas, the sum of $18,500 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $18,500 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $18,500 shall be payable on the 1st day of November 1994, or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 6, 1970, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0316 cents in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Waipareira “C” special area, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 public notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes under provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to stop the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto. A plan of the portion of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection at the offices of the Raglan County Council, Great South Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the offices of the Council, on or before the 20th day of October 1970.
