RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1970—$40,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $40,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought two eight (.0028) cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period not exceeding 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Sanitary Conveniences and Dressing Sheds Loan 1970, $100,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting sanitary conveniences and dressing sheds within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought six four (.0064) cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Wairau Stream and Nile Road Tributary Drainage Works Loan 1970, $221,000

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Wairau Stream and Nile Road Tributary Drainage Works Loan 1970, $221,000, authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special loan under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of providing the city’s share of the cost of improving the Wairau Stream together with piping the Nile Road tributary drain, the Takapuna City Council makes a special rate of decimal nought three seven cents (.037c) in the dollar ($) on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Takapuna, and that such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-five years (35), or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Owner-Occupier Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1970, $52,000, authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special loan under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of erecting owner-occupier flats for elderly people, the Takapuna City Council makes a special rate of decimal nought seven one cents (.0071c) in the dollar ($) on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Takapuna, and that such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the Powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otorohanga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $131,000 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of providing a sewage treatment plant and completing the sewerage reticulation of the Borough, the said Otorohanga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.62 cents in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Otorohanga, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
