The Traffic (Horowhenua County) Notice No. 1, 1970

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Horowhenua County) Notice No. 1 1970.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  3. The notice under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 17th day of June 1959†, which relates to Horowhenua County is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Horowhenua County at Hokio Beach:

Hokio Beach Road (from the bridge over the Hokio Stream at the north-western end of the said road to a point 48 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said road from the said bridge).

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for public plantation or garden purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Auckland City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.
