The Traffic (MacKenzie County) Notice No. 1, 1970

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (MacKenzie County) Notice No. 1, 1970.

2. The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SCHEDULE

Situated within MacKenzie County at Twizel Power Station Village.

All that area at Twizel Village bounded to the south by a right line due east from a point on the western side of the No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton) 16 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Ostler Road, bounded to the east by the said western side of the No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton); bounded to the north by the southern side of Glen Lyon Road; bounded to the west by the eastern boundary of Ruataniwha Station; the whole area being more particularly indicated within the red border on the plan T.T. 4029 deposited in the Head Office, Ministry of Transport, Wellington.

Change of Name of the Awakino Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the Scenic Reserve described in the Schedule hereto and known as the Awakino Scenic Reserve, shall hereafter be known as the Mokau Scenic Reserve.

Declaration That Part of the Hastwell Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Revocation of the Reservation Over The Said Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that that part of the Hastwell Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act, and further, revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said reserve.

Declaration That a Reserve Form Part of the Ocean Grove Domain

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to form part of the Ocean Grove Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.
