Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block IV, Moutere Survey District, Horowhenua County, for an Institution Established Under the Child Welfare Act 1925
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely the construction of an institution established under the Child Welfare Act 1925; and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Weraroa and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount of payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

All that piece of land containing approximately 30 acres situated in Block IV, Moutere Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part Hokio A. Part certificate of title, Volume 121, folio 121, Wellington Land Registry.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 24378 (W.D.O. 36851) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red; the said piece of land being situate adjacent to the Hokio Stream and being part Maori owned land to the north of the Hokio Stream near Kemp Street and Hunia Street, Hokio Beach.
