RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Electrical Works Loan 1970, $335,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three hundred and thirty-five thousand dollars, authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing electrical reticulation, street lighting, load control plant, substations, and ancillary capital works, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal three two four cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo, comprising the whole of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on the 27th day of July 1970.

TARARUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan 1970
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tararua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of $16,700 (to be known as Redemption Loan 1970), authorised to be raised by the Tararua Electric Power Board in New Zealand by “consent” under the above-mentioned Act and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling, for the purpose of repaying at maturity those portions of the Pongaroa Feeder Loan 1960 of $58,000 maturing on the 3rd day of October 1970, the said Tararua Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.022 (twenty-two thousandths) of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Tararua Electric Power District, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 31, of the 22nd day of May 1958, at pages 652 and 653; and that such special rate shall be annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by the Tararua Electric Power Board at its meeting held on the 24th day of July 1970.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Plant Loan 1970, $20,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $20,000, authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council under the Local Authority Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, for the purpose of replacing existing plant and purchasing additional plant, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven three (.073) cents in the dollar upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the County of Otamatea, and that the special rate will be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year being a period of 6 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Tuesday, 28 July 1970.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Additional Loan 1970
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the Waterworks Filtration Plant Pumping Station and ancillary works, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0129 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Levin Borough Council, held on 3 August 1970.

Lower Manawatu Scheme Redemption Loan 1970, $43,200
PURSUANT to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and sections 90 and 102 of the Soil Conservation and River Control Act 1941, the Manawatu Catchment Board hereby resolves:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual loan charges on the Lower Manawatu Scheme Redemption Loan 1970, $43,200, authorised to be raised by the Manawatu Catchment Board for the payment on maturity of the Lower Manawatu Scheme Loan 1954, $700,000, third issue registered stock, part $43,200, the Manawatu Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of—
0.031952790 cents in the dollar on Class A land,
0.021301860 cents in the dollar on Class B land,
0.010650930 cents in the dollar on Class C land,
0.005325460 cents in the dollar on Class D land,
0.002130186 cents in the dollar on Class E land,
0.007988190 cents in the dollar on Class F land,
on the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Lower Manawatu Scheme area, in accordance with the classification list of the area, and shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, and shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Manawatu Catchment Board held on Tuesday, 21 July 1970.
