Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Wairoa

(Notice No. Ag. 10655)

Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order, made by the Wairoa County Council on the 14th day of July 1970, is hereby published:

SPECIAL ORDER

"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Noxious Weed Act 1950, the Wairoa County Council hereby declares that the following plant, namely:

"Thorn apple or jimson weed (Datura stramonium) which is included in the First Schedule of the said Act, is a noxious weed within the whole district of the County of Wairoa."

Assignment of Rock Oyster Farming Lease

Pursuant to regulation 41 of the Rock Oyster Farming Regulations 1964, the Minister of Marine consented to the assignment of lease No. 103, and subsequently the lease was assigned to Michael Anthony Keane and Colin Alexander Boyd by virtue of a deed dated 12 June 1970.

Grant of Oyster Farming Lease

Pursuant to the Rock Oyster Farming Act 1964, the Minister of Marine has granted to Thomas Clifford Muir and Ernest Robin Kingsley Wilkinson, the lease of an area of 20 acres situated in the Ngunguru River (lease No. 133), for the cultivation of rock oysters.

Grant of Rock Oyster Farming Lease

Pursuant to the Rock Oyster Farming Act 1964, the Minister of Marine has granted to Gordon Frederick Dalbeth, the lease of 90 acres of sea bed (lease No. 177) situated on the north side of the Tahuna Channel between Te Toi and Ngatupai Stream in Parengarenga Harbour, for the cultivation of rock oysters.

Unclaimed Propertyโ€”Notice of Election by Public Trustee to Become Manager Under Public Trust Office Act 1957, Part V

Whereas, after due inquiry, it is not known who the owners are of certain moneys which were found in or about the vessel T. E. V. Wahine, after it foundered and sank in the Wellington Harbour on the 10th day of April 1968, and whereas, the moneys of which the owners are unknown amount to the sum of $317.11 and whereas, the value of such moneys does not exceed $4,000, and the Public Trustee is satisfied that he should become the manager of such moneys, now therefore, in exercise of the authority conferred on him by subsection (2) of section 80 of the said Act, the Public Trustee hereby elects to be the manager of such moneys under Part V of the said Act.

Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
