Setting Apart Land as a Maori Reservation

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated 3 February 1964 and published in Gazette, 13 February 1964, the land described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation and whereas it is now desired to extend the reservation to certain adjoining lands as recommended by the Maori Land Court:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given as follows:

NOTICE

  1. The reservation constituted by Order in Council, dated 3 February 1964, and published in Gazette, 13 February 1964, relating to the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby cancelled.
  2. The whole of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place, recreation ground, and sports ground for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of Tuakau district generally.
FIRST SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
Being

0 3 0.3 Lot 9, D.P. 7325, part Allotment 14, Parish of Tuakau, situate in Block IV, Onewhero Survey District, and being all of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 480, folio 47, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 480, folio 48, Auckland Registry.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold lands described in the Schedule hereto are hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes set out in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the Maori people generally.

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block II, Waimana Survey District, and described as follows:

  2. The whole of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of members of the Ngati Kapu Tribe.

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Hamilton 1970, No. 36.
  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
