As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 23962 (S.O. 1933) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above-mentioned.

Declaring Land Taken for Road in Block III, Uawa Survey District, Cook County

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road from and after the 13th day of July 1970.

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block III, Uawa Survey District, Cook County, Gisborne R.D., described as follows:

Declaring Land Taken for Better Utilisation in the City of Wellington

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for better utilisation from and after the 13th day of July 1970.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 15.2 perches, situated in Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District, City of Wellington, Wellington R.D., and being part Section 617, Town of Wellington, being part of the land shown on D.P. 9129; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 24304 (S.O. 27984) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

The South Canterbury Electric Power Board Electricity Supply Licence 1970

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby licences the South Canterbury Electric Power Board, subject to the following conditions, to supply electricity to the public within the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed by the Electricity Supply Regulations 1967 to be implied in every licence to erect electric lines shall be deemed to be incorporated in and to form part of this licence, as if it were a licence to erect electric lines.

  2. This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations, as if it were a licence under the Public Works Act 1928 to erect electric lines as well as a licence under the Electricity Act 1968 to supply electricity to the public.

  3. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), (h), and (j) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967. The system of supply authorised under paragraph (j) aforesaid shall be a single conductor earth-return system, and the use of this system shall be subject to such terms and conditions as may from time to time be laid down by the General Manager of the New Zealand Electricity Department.

  4. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force for a period of 21 years from the 1st day of April 1970.

  5. This licence shall come into force in the 1st day of April 1970.

  6. The licences described in the Second Schedule are hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

AREA OF SUPPLY

The South Canterbury Electric Power District as defined in the Third Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 23rd day of August 1957 and published in the Gazette on the 29th day of the same month at page 1575 as amended by an Order in Council under the Electricity Distribution Commission Act 1967 dated the 13th day of April 1970 and published in the Gazette on the 30th day of the same month at page 748. But excluding the area of supply of the Timaru City Council as defined in the Order in Council dated the 19th day of May 1965 and published in the Gazette on the 27th day of the same month at page 858 authorising the Timaru City Council to erect and maintain electric lines.

SECOND SCHEDULE

LICENCES REVOKED

  1. The South Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1968 (Gazette, 1 February 1968, p. 123).

  2. The Mackenzie County Council Electric Lines Licence 1955 (Gazette, 3 February 1955, p. 105).
