WOODVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewage Treatment Loan 1970—$24,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Woodville Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand dollars ($24,000) authorised to be raised by the Woodville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a treatment works to treat the borough’s sewage and other ancillary works, the Woodville Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal point five four cents (0.54c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Woodville; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby testify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Woodville Borough Council on the 17th day of June 1970.

TAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tawa Borough Council has resolved as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $16,000, authorised to be raised by the Tawa Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of purchasing a house property or erecting a house on land owned by council or to be required by council, the said Tawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.000165 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Tawa; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 4, 1970
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ellesmere County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $30,000 authorised to be raised by the Ellesmere County Council under the above-mentioned Act for making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Ellesmere County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought three nine nine five cents (:003995c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Ellesmere; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Leeston County Town Sewerage Loan 1970
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ellesmere County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $160,000 authorised to be raised by the Ellesmere County Council under the above mentioned act for the purpose of providing Leeston County Town with a sewerage scheme, the said Ellesmere County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal seven four eight two cents (.7482c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Leeston township urban drainage area (Leeston Town Riding) and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Golf Clubhouse Loan 1970, $56,000
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of $56,000 authorised to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of building a clubhouse on the Alexandra Golf Course, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point 171 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Alexandra; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, payable at half-yearly intervals until such time as the loan is paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand this 16th day of June 1970, cancelled the registry of Star of St. Albans Lodge, No. 79, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of New Zealand, Friendly Society, Register No. 146/69, held at Christchurch, on the grounds that the said branch has ceased to exist.
