OXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND OF PROPOSAL TO STOP ROAD
NOTICE is hereby given that the Oxford County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Counties Act 1956, to execute a certain public work, namely, the realignment of a road within the county of Oxford; and, for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and it is proposed to stop those portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto and to take the lands described in the Third Schedule hereto, as severance. And notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and the road to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the clerk of the council, situated in Oxford, and is there open for inspection to all persons during ordinary office hours; that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands or the proposed stopping of unused road should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said lands (not being an objection to the amount of payment of compensation) or to the proposed stopping of unused road, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, at the County Office, Oxford; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.
The land to be taken is for Island Road between Rampaddock Road and Mounseys Road.

THE TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges in respect of The Tauranga Electric Power Board Electrical Extension Loan 1970, of $300,000, authorised to be raised by special order under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of extending reticulation for supplying and distributing electrical energy throughout the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought six of a cent (.06c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years or until such loan is fully paid off.

THE HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Natural Gas Loan 1969, $400,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $400,000 authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of meeting part of the costs of providing for the use of natural gas, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five six of a cent (.056 cent) in the dollar on rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Hamilton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hamilton City Council held on Wednesday, 10 June 1970.

BOROUGH OF WHAKATANE
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers Dwelling Loan 1969—$10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing staff housing or making advances to employees for housing purposes, the said Whakatane Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two one cents (.021c) in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property over the whole of the Borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan being a period of ten (10) years or until the said loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council, held on the 15th day of June 1970.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Natural Gas Conversion Loan No. 2, $425,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan instalment of one hundred and forty-four thousand dollars ($144,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing preparations for reticulation of natural gas including mainlaying, consultants’ fees, plant and equipment, and appliance conversion the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of two hundred and fifteen ten thousandths of a cent (.0215c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of
