MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Reticulation Loan, 1970—$250,000

RESOLVED that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing interest and annual charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of upgrading the water reticulation within the borough, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council makes a special rate of decimal nought six two five (.0625) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a meeting of Council held on 2 June 1970.

DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) authorised to be raised by the Devonport Borough Council pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Street Works Loan 1954, $40,000 which matured on 30 April 1970, the said Devonport Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two one three cents (0.0213c) in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Devonport and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be repayable yearly on the 28th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of not more than 8 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Devonport Borough Council on 1 May 1970.

RAETIHI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Raetihi Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $18,000 authorised to be raised by the Raetihi Borough Council for the purpose of financing in part the erection on land owned by the Raetihi Borough Council a house and surgery for the use and occupation of a medical practitioner, the said Raetihi Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of $0.0061 in the dollar on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the borough of Raetihi; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Raetihi Borough Council at its meeting held on the 9th day of June 1970.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Parking Building Loan 1970, $600,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a parking building, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .349 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value), on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan 1970, $350,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reconstructing streets and ancillary work, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .286 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value), on all the rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Silverstream Underpass Loan 1969—$20,000

I certify that the Hutt County Council passed the following resolution at its meeting on 4 June 1970:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting council’s share of constructing an underpass at Silverstream, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.034 (decimal nought three four) cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Heretaunga Riding of the County of Hutt and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
