WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE IN CONNECTION WITH
HOUSING (NEWTOWN PARK STAGE II)
Additional Loan 1970, of $150,000
The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 10th day of June 1970:
"Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"'That for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150,000)
to be known as Housing (Newtown Park Stage II) Additional
Loan 1970, of $150,000, authorised to be raised by the
Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of meeting the additional costs of Newtown Park
Flats Stage II, the Wellington City Council hereby makes
a special rate of decimal nought nought six five of a cent
(.0065c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the
whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being
a period of forty (40) years or until the loan is fully paid
off.'"

NELSON HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson
Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the Redemption Loan No. 1, 1970, of $97,700, authorised to
be raised by the Nelson Harbour Board for the purpose of
supplementing the appropriate portion of the accumulated
sinking funds of forty-one thousand five hundred and fifty-four
dollars so as to redeem at maturity those parts of the third
portion Harbour Works Loan 1957, and the Redemption Loan
No. 1, 1964, which mature on 1 April and 1 May 1970, the
said Nelson Harbour Board hereby makes the special rate of
$0.0001180 in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis
of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Nelson
Harbour Board District (being the district as constituted prior
to the passing of the Nelson Harbour Board Order 1968);
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of October in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 15 years or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed by the Nelson Harbour Board on the 16th
day of February 1970.

WESTLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Westland Electric Power Board No. 2 Works Loan 1969--
$127,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the
Westland Electric Power Board held on the 3rd day of
June 1970, the following resolution was passed:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments, the Westland Electric Power Board hereby
resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $127,000 authorised to be raised by the Westland
Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of carrying out extensions and improvements to
the reticulation system for the benefit of the Westland Electric
Power Board District, and for such purposes to do all or any
of such matters and things which the board is empowered to do
by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, and its amendments,
and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said
Westland Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate
of 0.897 of one cent (0.897c) in the dollar ($) upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Westland Electric Power Board District, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of June, on each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or
until the loan is fully paid off."

day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 10c per line.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
NEW ZEALAND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
These are not now available from Government Bookshops
but may be obtained from the New Zealand Standards Association, Private Bag, Wellington.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing)
subscription $10 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
$5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
