COUNTY OF HOROWHENUA

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956, the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Horowhenua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts and powers thereunto enabling, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the operative district scheme for the County of Horowhenua and for the regrouping, improvement, and development of the said land, including the provisions of a service lane, and for the letting or leasing or resale for commercial purposes of any residue in association with adjacent lands already acquired by the council; the council being of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient so to do for the proper development of the said land and for the improvement of areas that are too closely subdivided. Any persons affected by the taking of the said land must state their objections, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Horowhenua County Council offices, Bath Street, Levin. If any objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

SCHEDULE

The land required to be taken comprises the following parcel of land in the Waikanae County Town, in the County of Horowhenua, and having frontage to Ngaio Road:

Twenty-eight decimal one perches, being part Ngarara West A78B 8A and being part of the land containing in certificate of title, Volume 792, folio 9, Wellington Registry, and delineated on Survey Office Plan No. 27820.

A copy of the plan may be inspected at the office of the Horowhenua County Council, Bath Street, Levin, during office hours.

SOUTH CANTERBURY HOSPITAL BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Hospitals Act 1957 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the South Canterbury Hospital Board proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the erection of hospital buildings and works in the City of Timaru and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary of the Board at the Board’s Office at 8 Church Street, Timaru. If any objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 27th day of May 1970:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of forty-six thousand dollars ($46,000), to be known as Redemption Loan No. 63, 1970, $46,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity portion of the Municipal Abattoir Loan 1960, $80,000 which matures on 1 June 1970, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought one nine four (.0194) of 1c in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

PAPATOETOE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Puhinui Stream Reconstruction Loan 1970, $80,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papatoetoe City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of $80,000 authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe City Council under the above-named Act for the purpose of reconstructing the Puhinui Stream in conjunction with the Manukau City Council, the said Papatoetoe City Council hereby makes a special rate of point nought four two cents (.042c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Papatoetoe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridge Renewals Loan 1970—$50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $50,000 authorised to be raised by the Clifton County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing bridges, the said Clifton County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one two one five three of a cent in the dollar (.12153c) upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Clifton and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 21st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
