RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1969, $6,500
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500) authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing staff housing or advancing funds to employees to obtain houses, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal zero zero eight one cents (.0081c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the County of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Stratford County Council held on the 15th day of May 1970.

Featherston Fire Station Additional Loan 1970
MINUTES of a special meeting of the Featherston Borough Council held in the Borough Council Chambers, Fox Street, Featherston, on Thursday, 19 March 1970, at 7 p.m.
“That, the Featherston Borough Council applies to the Local Authorities Loans Board for its sanction for the borrowing of $12,000 for the purpose of erecting a flat at the rear of the proposed new fire station. The term of the loan shall be 30 years, the interest 5¾ percent.
The security of the loan shall be a special rate of 0.14209185c in the $ on the unimproved value of all rateable properties in the Borough of Featherston. The said security rate shall not be levied or collected. The loan charges will be met from: borough revenue 40 percent, Fire Service Council subsidy 60 percent.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Plant Purchase Loan 1970—$40,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $40,000 authorised to be raised by the Porirua City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for Plant Purchase Loan 1970, the said Porirua City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0352 cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 8 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Certified to be a true copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Porirua City Council held on 26 May 1970.

SOUTHLAND HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 2, 1970—$546,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Southland Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $546,000 authorised to be raised by the Southland Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of Loan No. 14, 1952—$7,779,200; Renewal Loan No. 1, 1961—$130,100; Renewal Loan No. 2, 1964—$116,400 and Renewal Loan No. 1, 1965—$699,000 which mature during the year ended 30 September 1971, by conversion and cash application, the said Southland Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.008719 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Southland Harbour District, as constituted by the Bluff Harbour Empowering Act 1949, being part of the rate authorised by section 8 of the Bluff Harbour Improvement Act 1952; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 30th day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24½ years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Southland Harbour Board held on 26 May 1970.

NOTICE OF MAKING OF SPECIAL RATE
FOR SEWER LOAN 1970, $285,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $285,000 authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on the 1st day of June 1970 the amount due under a deed of hypothecation secured over the Sewer Loan No. 2, 1966, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal zero three seven three (.0373) of a cent in the dollar ($) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Hamilton; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 16 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hamilton City Council held on Wednesday, 13 May 1970.

WATERWORKS LOAN 1969, $1,000,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $1,000,000 authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing for part of the cost of constructing new waterworks pumping station, reticulation and storage and installing purifying equipment and ancillary works, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.121 of a cent in the dollar on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Hamilton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hamilton City Council held on the 13th day of May 1970.
