Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 5, 1970

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 5, 1970.
  2. It is hereby declared, as required by the National Roads Board, that the State highway set out in the Schedule hereto shall belong to the class set out in the said Schedule.
  3. So much of the notice dated the 8th day of June 1965† as relates to the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes specified in the said Schedule, for the common use and benefit of the Maori peoples generally.

Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 171—Public Inquiry into Import Duties and Import Licensing Affecting Salt, Iodised and Not Iodised (Tariff Items 25.01.02 and ex 25.01.03)

  1. An application for protection having been received by the Minister of Customs, he has requested the Tariff and Development Board to inquire into and report on the rates of duty on salt, iodised (Tariff item 25.01.02) and salt, not iodised (ex Tariff item 25.01.03), and also on the question of import licensing as it affects these goods.
  2. The Board will, in accordance with its normal procedures, conduct a public inquiry in the Conference Room, Challenge House, 105–109 The Terrace, Wellington, on Wednesday, 12 August 1970, commencing at 10.30 a.m.
  3. Any person who intends to tender evidence should lodge 12 copies of a typewritten statement of the evidence, to be presented under oath at the public inquiry, at the Board’s office no later than Wednesday, 22 July 1970. In preparing this evidence the “Notes for Guidance of Witnesses”, prepared by the Board, may be of assistance. Copies of these notes may be obtained from the Board’s office.

Approved Wool-marking Preparation (Notice No. Ag. 10608)

PURSUANT to section 94 of the Animals Act 1967, the Director-General of Agriculture, after consultation with the New Zealand Wool Board, hereby gives notice that the wool-marking preparation set out in the Schedule hereto (a product of Vetco Products Ltd., Auckland) is approved for sale and general purpose use in marking wool or sheep.
