Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 14) 1970

PURSUANT to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 14) 1970.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notices shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

Result of Election of Members to the Dental Council of New Zealand

PURSUANT to the Dental Regulations 1964, I, Barrie Thomas Good, the Returning Officer for the purposes of those regulations, hereby give the following notice with respect of the elections of persons to the Dental Council of New Zealand under paragraphs (d) and (e) of section 3 (2) of the Dental Act 1963.

  1. There being only two persons nominated for election by dentists whose registered addresses are in the North Island, I hereby declare the persons nominated, namely, Pat Noakes and David Glendenning Watt, to be elected to the Council for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of July 1970.

  2. There being only one person nominated for election by dentists whose registered addresses are in the South Island, I hereby declare the person nominated, namely, Roger Donald Monk, to be elected to the Council for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of July 1970.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956

PURSUANT to regulation 49 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of regulation 41 (2) of the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
TAIL lamp assemblies incorporating red reflectors fitted as standard equipment to Fiat motor vehicles and marked "1E3 4315 C1 STARS 1.75.03".

Exemption from Provisions of Traffic Regulations to Permit Certain Army Vehicles to Operate with Steering on Left Hand Side

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 25A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts armoured personnel carriers models M113 and M548, operated by the New Zealand Army, from the provisions of subclause (1) of regulation 44 of the said regulations, which prohibits generally the operation on a road of any motor vehicle having the steering column to the left of the longitudinal centre line of the body of the vehicle.

The Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 4, 1970

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 4, 1970.

  2. It is hereby declared, as required by the National Roads Board, that the State highway set out in the Schedule hereto shall belong to the class set out in the said Schedule.

  3. So much of the notice dated the 1st day of May 1935† as relates to the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.
