Change of the Purpose of a Reserve to Historic Purposes and Addition of the Reserve to the Ship Cove Historic Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for sounds foreshore purposes to a reserve for historic purposes; and, further, declares the said reserve to form part of the Ship Cove Historic Reserve, to be administered as a historic reserve by the Ship Cove and Queen Charlotte Sound Reserves Board.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT—MARLBOROUGH COUNTY

SOUNDS Foreshore Reserve fronting Section 141, Queen Charlotte Sound Registration District, situated in Block XV, Gore Survey District: area, 1 acre 2 roods, more or less. Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Whakatane Borough Council on the 17th day of November 1969:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves that the land held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said borough, in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be, a public reserve for refuse disposal within the meaning of the said Act.”

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Gisborne City Council, the Cook County Council, and the Waikohu County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for aerodrome purposes; and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Gisborne; the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook; and the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu, jointly, in trust, for that purpose, subject to the terms and conditions contained in an agreement dated the 30th day of May 1961 between Her Majesty the Queen and the aforesaid local authorities, a copy of which is deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington as Gisborne deed No. 851.
