CITY OF MANUKAU

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Puhinui Stream Reconstruction Loan 1970—$320,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charge on a loan of $320,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing the Puhinui Stream in conjunction with the Papatoetoe City Council within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two nine five cents (.0295c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Treatment and Reticulation Loan 1970

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one million nine hundred and thirty-nine thousand dollars ($1,939,000) to be known as the Rotorua City Council Sewerage Treatment and Reticulation Loan 1970, $1,939,000, authorised to be raised by the Rotorua City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the sewerage reticulation and constructing a treatment plant, the Rotorua City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal five one one cents (.511c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Special Rate of Security for Staff Housing Loan 1970, $40,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers in that behalf enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment Board resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing security for the payment of principal and interest on a loan of $40,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of providing staff houses, the said Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought nought three four three cents in the dollar (.00343c in the $) on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Rangitikei Catchment District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, payable on demand during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Airport Improvements Redemption Loan 1970—$34,400

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $34,400, known as the “Airport Improvements Redemption Loan 1970, of $34,400”, authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Airport Improvement Loan 1960, $100,000, which matures on 1 June 1970, the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0196 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $46,200, known as the “Drainage Redemption Loan 1970, of $46,200”, to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Drainage Loan 1958, $320,000, which matures on 1 June 1970, the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0201 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
