NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 23rd day of March 1970, presented to the Court by BING HARRIS & CO. LIMITED a duly incorporated company having its registered office at the corner of Victoria and Willeston Streets, Wellington, warehousemen. And the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Hamilton on the 29th day of May 1970, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for the purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

TAKING OF LAND FOR ROAD—BARRETT ROAD

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Taranaki County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being situated adjoining Barrett Road, approximately between 63 chains and 1 mile 31 chains south of the boundary between the New Plymouth City and the Taranaki County.

A plan showing the land proposed to be taken for road is available for public inspection at the office of the Taranaki County Council, Robe Street, New Plymouth, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at his office, aforesaid. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

ELLERSLIE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Ellerslie and One Tree Hill Storm-water Drainage Loan 1970—$224,000

THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $224,000 authorised to be raised by the Ellerslie Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a main storm-water pipeline to Manukau Harbour, the said Ellerslie Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal two one two six (1.2126) cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable properties in the Borough of Ellerslie; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Ellerslie Borough Council held on the 7th day of May 1970.

ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Reticulation Extensions and Improvement Loan 1970—$450,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of four hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) authorised to be raised by the One Tree Hill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making reticulation extensions and improvements in the borough water supply, the said One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal eight seven three five cents (.8735c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of One Tree Hill; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
