Consent to the Generation of Electricity by John Allan Hurst
by the Use of Water
Pursuant to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby consents to the generation of electricity by John Allan Hurst, of Pentland Hills, farmer, by the use of water,
subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS

The conditions directed by the Water Power Regulations 1934 to be implied in every licence to use water for the purpose of generating or storing electricity shall be deemed to be conditions of this consent as if it were such a licence.

This consent is subject to compliance with the Water Power Regulations 1934, the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations hereafter made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations, as if in the case of the Water Power Regulations 1934 it were a licence under the Public Works Act 1928 to use water for the purpose of generating electricity as well as a consent under the Electricity Act 1968 to generate electricity by the use of water.

The generation of electricity by the use of water, pursuant to this consent, shall be carried out by means of the works described in the Schedule hereto.

This consent shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1985.

This consent confers no rights to water under the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967 or otherwise.

For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this consent, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the date of this consent is 2 kW.
SCHEDULE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
(a) Head works consisting of a weir and intake giving a static head of approximately 64 ft.
(b) Water race from head works to the earthwork reservoir situated in Lot 19 on D.P. 1584, Block XIV, Waihao Survey District.
(c) Pipeline from the reservoir to the powerhouse.
(d) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity situated in Lot 19 on D.P. 1584, Block XIV, Waihao Survey District.
(e) Tail race leading from the powerhouse to the Waihao-runga Creek.
As shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 792 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

The Traffic (Hutt County) Notice No. 1, 1970
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hutt County) Notice No. 1, 1970.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within Hutt County, adjacent to the northern boundary of Wellington City:

Declaring Land, Subject to a Pipeline Easement, Acquired for a Government Work at Chertsey and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, subject to a grant of pipeline easement appurtenant to the said land, as described in transfer 275187, Canterbury Registry, to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, as from the 13th day of April 1970.

Declaring Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Waipukurau
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Government Railways Act 1949, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes. This declaration shall take effect from and after the 13th day of April 1970.

Declaration that a Reserve Form Part of the Kawau Island Domain and be Included in the Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation purposes described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to form part of the Kawau Island Domain; and, further, pursuant to the Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park Act 1967, declares the said land to form part of the Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park.
