Schedule hereto; to take for the use, convenience, or enjoyment
of a road the portion of land described in the Second Schedule
hereto; and to stop the portions of road described in the Third
Schedule hereto. And notice is hereby further given that a plan
showing the said pieces of land is on view and open for
inspection at the office of the Council, at the address set out
below, during ordinary business hours; and that every person
affected by the taking of the said pieces of land and the
stopping of the said pieces of road should set forth, in writing,
any objection he may wish to make, not being an objection to
the amount of compensation payable, and send the written
objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this
notice, to the County Clerk, Otorohanga County Council,
Council Chambers, Maniapoto Street, Otorohanga.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Mayor,
Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin (hereinafter
called "the Corporation") proposes, under the provisions of the
above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work,
namely, to widen Kaikorai Valley Road, in the City of
Dunedin, and, for the purposes of such public work, the
lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that the said lands are the
whole of Allotments 4 and 5, Deposited Plan 11983 (Otago
Registry); that all persons affected by the execution of the
said public work or by the taking of the said lands should
if they have any objections to the execution of the said
public work or the taking of such lands, not being an
objection to the amount or payment of compensation, set
forth the same, in writing, and send such written objection,
within 40 days from the first publication of this notice,
namely, the 23rd day of March 1970, to the Town Clerk of
the Corporation; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will
be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and that each
objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

BOROUGH OF WHAKATANE
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Library Renewal Loan 1970-$4,400
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of four thousand four hundred dollars ($4,400)
authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying
on maturity that portion of the Library Loan 1957 which
matures on 30 March 1970, the said Whakatane Borough
Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought
one six cents (.016c) in the dollar upon the unimproved
rateable value of all rateable property over the whole of the
Borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
being a period of seven (7) years or until the said loan is
fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council held on 16
March 1970.

Notice of Application for Consent to Specified Departure
IN the matter of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953,
notice is hereby given that application has been made by
Margaret Hilda Elizabeth Heenan, of Five Rivers, married
woman, for the consent of the Queenstown-Wakatipu Combined Planning Committee to a specified departure to sub-divide and transfer the land hereinafter described for use as a private dwelling.
