OTOROHANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, public notice is hereby given by the Otorohanga
Borough Council that, pursuant to a resolution of the Waikato
Valley Authority, dated the 24th day of May 1961, directing
the Otorohanga Borough Council to undertake flood protection
works for the protection of the Borough of Otorohanga,
it proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act
1941, the under-mentioned piece of land for river protection
works; and notice is hereby given that a plan showing the said
piece of land is on view and open to inspection at the offices
of the Council, at the address set out below, during ordinary
business hours. And notice is further given that all persons
affected by the taking of the said piece of land for river protection works should state, forthwith in writing any objection they
may wish to make to the taking of the said piece of land,
not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and
send the written objection, within 40 days from the first
appearance of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Otorohanga
Borough Council, Council Chambers, Maniapoto Street,
Otorohanga.

containing 19.8 perches, being part Orahiri No. 4 (Rangitutahi

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is
hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes, under
the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road
that portion of land described in the First Schedule hereto and
to stop that portion of road described in the Second Schedule
hereto. A plan of the portion of land proposed to be taken and
the portion of road proposed to be stopped is open for public
inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey
Street, Hamilton East, during 40 days from the first publication
of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge
their objections, in writing, at the offices of the Council on or
before the 22nd day of April 1970.
