The Motor Launch (Wharekaho (Simpsons) Beach, Mercury Bay) Notice 1969—Coromandel County Council

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Wharekaho (Simpsons) Beach, Mercury Bay) Notice 1969.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force for a period of 5 years after that date.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water at Wharekaho Beach (commonly known as Simpsons Beach) Mercury Bay, within 200 yd of the edge of the water and bounded on the sides by parallel lines 100 yd apart and 50 yd on either side of a centre line being extended in a 143° true direction from the easternmost corner point of Lot 1, D.P. S. 5198, part Kuaotuna 6A/6B/2, Block VIII, Otama S.D.

SECOND SCHEDULE

The access lane shall be marked as follows:

  1. Two 8-ft transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 ft or more than 20 ft between and painted with 12 in. bright orange and black bands shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited on high-water mark.

  2. On each side of the transit posts sited on high-water mark there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the access lane a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange, with black lettering in the following form:

"NOTICE

MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962

Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.

Bathers Keep Out"

  1. Marker Buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be moored 50 yd apart and in line with each set of transit posts, the first buoy being 50 yd from the water's edge.

The Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 1, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 1, 1969.

  2. So much of the warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, dated the 3rd day of May 1967*, as relates to the No. 20 State Highway (Onehunga-Redoubt Road) in Manukau City, as specified in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Manukau City, adjacent to Papatoetoe City:

No. 20 State Highway (Onehunga-Redoubt Road) (from the southern boundary of Papatoetoe City to a point 9 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary).

The Traffic (Kairanga County) Notice No. 1, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Kairanga County) Notice No. 1, 1969.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Kairanga County, at Longburn:

No. 56 State Highway (Palmerston North - Himatangi) (from a point 32 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said highway from Corey Street to a point 32 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from the said street).

The Traffic (Vincent County) Notice 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Vincent County) Notice 1969.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  3. The warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 10th day of April 1963†, which relates to No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson) at Luggate, in Vincent County, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Vincent County, at Luggate:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson) (from Reid Avenue to a point 1 chain measured southerly generally along the said highway from Lindsay Road).

The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Paparua County) Notice 1969.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. So much of the warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 28th day of April, 1967†, as relates to No. 75 State Highway (Christchurch-Akaroa) at Halswell Township, in Paparua County, is hereby revoked.
