RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Supplementary Loan 1969—$1,745.00
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a supplementary loan of $1,745 authorised to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of pensioner housing, the said Carterton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0000714 of $1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Carterton; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

It is not proposed to collect the special rate, as the loan charges will be met out of rental of the cottages.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Carterton Borough Council on 18 November 1969.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaiapoi Borough Council, at a properly constituted meeting held on the 17th day of November 1969, approved the following resolution:

“That, for the purpose of securing the annual charge on a loan of $5,000 authorised to be raised by the Kaiapoi Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of accommodation for old people, the said Kaiapoi Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0027c in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Kaiapoi; such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan.”

MALVERN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1969, $39,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Malvern County Council resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $39,000, to be known as the Rural Housing Loan 1969, and authorised to be raised by the Malvern County Council under the above-mentioned Act for making advances to farmers under the provision of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Malvern County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0095c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Malvern; and the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO STOP PIECES OF ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, public notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes, pursuant to section 148 of the Public Works Act 1928, to stop those pieces of unformed and unused roads situated in the Opaheke Parish, adjoining Kern Road, described in the Schedule hereto.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the Franklin County Council, situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons who may wish to make any objections to the above proposal to stop the said pieces of road must set forth their objections, in writing, and send the same to the County Clerk at the office of the Franklin County Council, Roulston Street, Pukekohe, within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. If any objections are received by the Franklin County Council, as aforesaid, a public notice shall be published calling a meeting of the ratepayers of the district; such meeting to be held at a time and place to be specified in the said notice, the time so specified being not earlier than 14 days after the date of publication of the notice, pursuant to the said section of the Public Works Act 1928.

Both the said pieces of road being situated in Block XII, Drury Survey District, situated in the County of Franklin, North Auckland Land Registration District; as the same are more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 46398 deposited in the Office of the Lands and Survey Department at Auckland.
