OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR PUBLIC HALL
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby
given that the Otamatea County Council proposes, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public
hall site, as provided in section 319 of the Counties Act 1956.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land,
so required to be taken, is deposited in the public office of the
said Council, situate at Paparoa, and is there open for public
inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office
hours. All persons affected by the proposed taking of the said
land, who have any well-grounded objections to the taking of
the said land, must set forth the same, in writing, and send
such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Otamatea County Council, at Paparoa. The date
of first publication of this notice is the 27th day of November
1969.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amend-
ments, notice is hereby given that the Palmerston North City
Council intends to take, under the provisions of the Public
Works Act 1928, the lands described in the Schedule hereto,
for the purposes of a recreation, physical, and social welfare
centre. A plan of the said lands is deposited at the public
office of the Palmerston North City Council, The Square,
Palmerston North, and is there open for inspection by all
persons at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said
lands are hereby required and called upon to set forth, in
writing, any objection to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands (not being an objection to the
amount or payment of compensation) and to send such writing,
within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Town Clerk of the City of Palmerston North. If any
such objection is made, a public hearing of the same will be
held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of such hearing.
SCHEDULE
FOURTEEN decimal nine perches (14.9 P.), more or less, being
Lot 15, D.P. 451, being part Section 327, Town of Palmerston
North, and being the land in C.T. 63/146 (Wellington
Registry). The above-described land is situate at, and known as,
172 Cuba Street, Palmerston North.

CITY OF MANUKAU
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Roading Loan 1969—$300,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $300,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
constructing roads and footpaths and associated works within
the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal nought two one one cents
(.0211c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value
of all rateable property of the City of Manukau; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the cur-
rency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April
in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I, Ronald Wood, Town Clerk of the Manukau City Council,
hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a
meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 13th day of
November 1969.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the
Auckland City Council held on the 12th day of November
1969.
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other
powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby
resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand two hundred dollars
($25,200) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 56, 1969,
$25,200, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auck-
land City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the
purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of Redemption
Loan No. 8, 1963, $355,600, which matures on 1 December
1969, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of point nought one nought six (.0106) of 1c
in the dollar ($) on the rateable property of Auckland City
comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the
said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st
day of June in each and every year during the currency of the
said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1969
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $78,000 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying portions of the Sewerage Loan 1960, the Street
Improvements Loan 1959, the Waterworks Pipeline Loan 1962
and the Renewal Loan 1963, maturing on 1 December 1969
and 17 February 1970, the Gisborne City Council hereby make
a special rate of forty-seven one-hundredths of a cent (.047c)
in the dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property
comprising the whole of the City of Gisborne; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the cur-
rency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of the loan
being a period of 12 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Gisborne City Council held on 18 November 1969.
