NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the County of Chatham Islands require to take
the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of
a public work, namely, a road.

Notice is hereby further given that the plan of the said lands
(No. S.O. 27068) is open to inspection by all persons at the
following places:

1. The office of the Chatham Islands County Council,
   Waitangi, Chatham Islands; and

2. The offices of Messrs Macalister, Mazengarb, Parkin, and
   Rose, Solicitors, National Bank Building, Featherston Street,
   Wellington.

Every person affected by such taking is hereby called upon
to set forth, in writing, any objection he may wish to make
to the taking of the said lands, or any of them, not being an
objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to
send such written objection, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Chatham
Islands County Council, Waitangi, Chatham Islands.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a
public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Swimming Pool Loan, 1969—$102,000

RESOLVED, that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested
in it on that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing interest and annual
charges on a loan of one hundred and two thousand dollars
($102,000) authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of providing a swimming pool, the said Mount Roskill
Borough Council makes a special rate of decimal nought two
five (.025) of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said
loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period
of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Loan, 1969—$150,000

RESOLVED, that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested
in it on that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing interest and annual
charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars
($150,000) authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of completing the reconstruction of Halsey Drive and
Cape Horn Road, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council
makes a special rate of decimal nought three seven five (.0375)
of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and
be paid yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year
during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty
(20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
