Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 144—Public Inquiry into Import Duties Affecting Prepared Culture Media for Development of Micro-organisms (Tariff Item 38.16.00)

The Tariff and Development Board has been requested by the Minister of Customs to inquire into and report whether any new or increased duty is necessary in respect of prepared culture media for development of micro-organisms, classified in Tariff item 38.16.00.

The Board will, in accordance with its normal procedures, conduct a public inquiry in the Boardroom, First Floor, Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, 3 March 1970, commencing at 10.30 a.m.

Any person who intends to tender evidence should lodge 12 copies of a typewritten statement of the evidence, to be presented under oath at the public inquiry, with the undersigned no later than Friday, 13 February 1970. In preparing this evidence the “Notes for Guidance of Witnesses”, prepared by the Board, may be of assistance. Copies of these notes may be obtained from the Board’s office.

Rock Oyster Farming Lease
Pursuant to the Rock Oyster Farming Act 1964, notice is hereby given that the Minister of Marine has granted to Ronald Stanley Mancer, of Tokoroa, the lease of 5 acres of sea bed (lease No. 85) in the Maketu Estuary for cultivating rock oysters.

Pursuant to the Rock Oyster Farming Act 1964, notice is hereby given that the Minister of Marine has granted to Raymond John Crawford and Raymond George Crawford, both of Coromandel, the lease of 10 acres of sea bed (lease No. 118) in McGregor Bay, Coromandel Harbour, for the purpose of farming rock oysters.
