SECOND SCHEDULE
THE access lane shall be marked as follows:
-
Two 8-ft transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 ft or more than 20 ft between, and painted with 12 in. bright orange and black bands shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited on the lake margin.

On each of the transit posts sited on the lake margin there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the access lane, a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange with black lettering.

The aforesaid notice board shall contain the following notice:
“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
(1) Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
(2) Motor launches and water skiers keep to starboard or right side of access lane.
(3) Bathing and paddling prohibited while access lane is in use by motor launches and water skiers.”
- A marker buoy, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be moored 200 yd from the lake margin and in line with each set of transit posts.

Amending Foreshore Licence for Slipway at Port Hutt, Chatham Islands
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby amends the noltice, signed on 1 November 1960*, licensing Philip Theodore Nielson to occupy a site at Port Hutt, Chatham Islands, for a slipway, and assigned to the Chatham Islands Fishing Co. Ltd. on 22 March 1968†, by deleting the words “Chatham Islands Fishing Co. Ltd.” and substituting therefor the words “Ascot Fishing Co. Ltd.”

Consent to Assignment
PURSUANT to regulation 41 of the Rock Oyster Farming Regulations 1964, tthe Minister of Marine has consented to the assignment of oyster farming lease No. 15, granted to Anthony Hayward on 23 November 1967* for the purpose of farming rock oysters, to Taspac Oysters Ltd.

Committee of Inquiry to Inquire into Overseas Interests in New Zealand Road Transport Industry
- Pursuant to section 5 of the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby appoints Raymond Joseph Polaschek, Esquire, Clifford Ernest Dowling, Esquire, Peter Edward Maxwell, Esquire, William Norman Gough Dunlop, Esquire, and Neil John Clarke, Esquire to be a committee of inquiry, to be called the Committee of Inquiry into Overseas Interests in New Zealand Road Transport, to investigate and make recommendations to the Transport Advisory Council on overseas interests in the New Zealand road transport industry.

The said Raymond Joseph Polaschek shall be the Chairman of the Committee and the said Clifford Ernest Dowling shall be the Deputy Chairman.

The Committee shall inquire into and report to the Transport Advisory Council on overseas ownership or control or both in the road transport industry, including freight-forwarding organisations, with particular reference to—
(a) The extent of ownership or control or both of and investment in the road transport industry by overseas interests at present;
(b) The overall trends which have emerged to date:
(c) The pattern of overseas ownership or control or both, and that which is likely to emerge in the future:
(d) The results, in terms of control, on the road transport industry and on the transport sector as a whole, in both the short term and the long term:
(e) The desirability of any action to further control the extent of overseas ownership or investment or their development along any particular line:
(f) The methods by which any such action deemed desirable could be put into effect:
(g) Any other matters considered to be relevant.
- The Committee is hereby authorised to—
(a) Hold public meetings at which evidence can be presented:
(b) Hold closed meetings at which evidence of a confidential nature can be heard:
(c) Request reports and other information from Government departments and other interested parties.
- (1) All meetings of the Committee shall be held at such times and places as the Committee or the Chairman from time to time appoints.
(2) At any such meeting the Deputy Chairman may preside in the absence of the Chairman; and, in the absence of both the Chairman and Deputy Chairman, a member appointed by the Chairman may act in his stead.
(3) At any such meeting three members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum.
(4) Subject to the provisions of this clause, the Committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
- The Committee shall submit its report and recommendations to the Transport Advisory Council not later than the 30th day of September 1970.

The Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 3, 1969
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 3, 1969.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
-
The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 10th day of February 1958†, which relates to Motuoapa, in Taupo County, is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Taupo County, at Motuoapa:
State Highway No. 1 (Awanui Bluff) (from a point 9 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Parekarenga Street to a point 10 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Maniapoto Street).
