The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 5, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 5, 1969.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section, and is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon during the period commencing with the Wednesday following Easter each year and ending with the 30th day of November each year shall be subject to the speed limitation fixed by the said regulation.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED in Whangarei County, at Langs Beach:

Waipu-Mangawhai Road (from a point 72 chains measured westerly generally along the said road from Wairehia Road to a point 40 chains measured easterly generally along the Waipu-Mangawhai Road from Wairehia Road).

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 2, 1969.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED in Rodney County, at Matakana:

Warkworth-Leigh Road (from a point 30 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said road from the Whangaripo-Matakana Road to a point 10 chains measured north-easterly generally along the Warkworth-Leigh Road from the Whangaripo-Matakana Road).

Whangaripo-Matakana Road (from the Warkworth-Leigh Road to a point 24 chains measured north-westerly generally along the Whangaripo-Matakana Road from the Warkworth-Leigh Road).

2. The road area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within Waitemata County, at Herald Island:

All the roads on Herald Island, the causeway leading to Herald Island, Kingsway Road (from Kauri Road to the western end of the causeway leading to Herald Island).

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 6, 1969.

2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

3. The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 25th day of May 1962†, which relates to Tauranga County, at Bethlehem, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Tauranga County, at Bethlehem:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from a point 16 chains measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Carmichael Road to a point 20 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Bethlehem Road).

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Matamata County) Notice No. 1, 1969.

2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. So much of the notice under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 6th day of April 1938*, which relates to Arapuni, in Matamata County, is hereby revoked.

Arapuni Road (from a point 4 chains measured northerly generally along Arapuni Road from Coates Street to a point 5 chains measured north-easterly generally along Arapuni Road from Sanders Street).
