Hamilton Teachers College Council Notice 1969
PURSUANT to regulation 3A of the Teachers Training College Regulations 1959, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Teachers College Council Notice 1969.

(1) There shall be a Teachers College Council for the Hamilton Teachers College which shall be known as the Hamilton Teachers College Council and shall comprise the following members:
(a) The Chancellor of the University of Waikato;
(b) The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Waikato;
(c) Four other members of the Council of the University of Waikato, being those members of that Council who are appointed by the Governor-General;
(d) The Chairman of the South Auckland Education Board;
(e) The Principal of Hamilton Teachers College;
(f) The District Senior Inspector of Primary Schools;
(g) The District Senior Inspector of Secondary Schools;
(h) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Professorial Board of the University of Waikato;
(i) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Waikato and Eastern Districts Regional Branch of the New Zealand Secondary School Boards' Association;
(j) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the South Auckland Education Board;
(k) One member to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Hamilton City Council;
(l) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Educational Institute, who shall be the head teacher of an intermediate school or of a State primary school of Grade Vc or higher grade;
(m) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Executive of the New Zealand Post-Primary Teachers' Association, who shall be the principal of a State secondary school.
(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Minister of Education may, in his discretion, appoint two additional members of the Hamilton Teachers College Council.
- (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause, the appointed members of the Hamilton Teachers College Council shall hold office for a term of 3 years, but may from time to time be reappointed.
(2) Any appointed member of the Council may at any time resign his office by notice in writing addressed to the Minister of Education.
(3) If any appointed member dies, resigns, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Council for three consecutive months, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment of a new member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall be appointed for only the residue of the term of the vacating member.
(4) Unless he sooner vacates his office as provided by subclause (3) of this clause, every appointed member of the Council shall continue in office until his successor comes into office, notwithstanding that the term for which he was appointed may have expired.
(5) The powers of the Council shall not be affected by any vacancy in its membership.

Christchurch Teachers College Council Notice 1969
PURSUANT to regulation 3A of the Teachers Training College Regulations 1959, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Christchurch Teachers College Council Notice 1969.

(1) There shall be a Teachers College Council for the Christchurch Teachers College which shall be known as the Christchurch Teachers College Council and shall comprise the following members:
(a) The Principal of the Primary Division of Christchurch Teachers College;
(b) The Principal of the Secondary Division of Christchurch Teachers College;
(c) The District Senior Inspector of Primary Schools;
(d) The District Senior Inspector of Secondary Schools;
(e) Three members, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Council of Canterbury University, of whom one shall be the Chancellor or the Vice-Chancellor, or a member of the Council, of that University, and one shall be the Professor of Education of that University;
(f) Three members, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Southern Regional Branch of the New Zealand Secondary School Boards' Association, of whom at least one shall be a member of the Christchurch Secondary Schools Council;
(g) Three members to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Canterbury Education Board;
(h) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Educational Institute, who shall be the head teacher of an intermediate school or of a State primary school of Grade Vc or higher grade;

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired, under the Forests Act 1949, as permanent State forest land.
