Permanent State Forest Land Set Apart as State Forest Park

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 63A (1) (a) of the Forests Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the permanent State forest land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto and further described in the Third and Fourth Schedules hereto as State forest park, to be known as Kaimanawa State Forest Park.
FIRST SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY
Taupo County, Rangitikei County
ALL that area in the Wellington and South Auckland Land Districts, Counties of Taupo and Rangitikei, containing 187,876 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the right bank of the Tauranga-Taupo River and the southern boundary of Tauranga-Taupo 2A 2 situated in Block VI, Tokaanu Survey District, and proceeding generally easterly along the southern and south-eastern boundaries of Tauranga-Taupo 2A 2, aforesaid, the south-western boundary of Te Whataroa Block, the south-western, south-eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of Turutururoa Block, the eastern boundaries of Tauranga-Taupo 3B 1B, the eastern boundary of Opawa Rangitoto 2B, the southern boundary of Te Whakao No. 1, the southern and eastern boundaries of Te Whakao No. 2, and the southern boundaries of part Tauhara South B. and A. to the north-easternmost corner of Kaimanawa 1E situated in Block V, Maruanui Survey District; thence southerly generally along the eastern boundaries of Kaimanawa 1E and 1B, and southerly and south-westerly along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of part Kaimanawa 1A and its production to the right bank of the Ngaruroro River situated in Block V, Ahipaepae Survey District, and along that bank to the southern boundary of Owhaoko A. 1B; thence westerly along that boundary, southerly along the western boundaries of Owhaoko A. 1A and A. West, easterly along the southern boundary of Owhaoko A. West to the right bank of the Ngaruroro River and southerly along that bank to the northern boundary of Horotea S.D.; thence westerly along that boundary and the northern boundary of Mangamaiare S.D. to the right bank of the Mangamaiare Stream; thence generally south-westerly along the generally south-eastern boundaries of Kaimanawa 2A and 3A to the southernmost corner of Kaimanawa 3A; thence northerly along the western boundary of Kaimanawa 3A to the easternmost corner of Hautu 6; thence westerly and northerly along the southern boundary of Hautu 6 and the western boundaries of Hautu 6 and 5B 2A to a point in line with the most northern boundary of Rangipo North 2D 2; thence easterly along the production of that boundary to the western boundary of 5B 2B 2A and southerly along that boundary to the south-western corner of Hautu 5B 2B 2A; thence generally north-easterly along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Hautu 5B 2B 2A, the south-eastern boundaries of Hautu 4B 2A 2B 1 and 4B 2A 2C 1, the south-western, south-eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of Hautu 4B 2B 2B 2F 1, the north-eastern boundary of Hautu 4B 2B 2B 2 to the north-eastern corner of that subdivision, a right line bearing approximately 62° to the south-eastern corner of Hautu 2B 1B 1, the south-eastern boundaries of Hautu 2B 1B 1 and 2B 1B 2E, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the right bank of the Waimarino River; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Hautu 1B 1B 2A to the south-eastern boundary of part Hautu 1B 1B 2A, shown edged red, on M.L. Plan 4406; thence north-easterly along that boundary and generally south-easterly along the generally south-western boundaries of parts Hautu 1B 1B 2A and 1A, shown edged red, on M.L. Plan 4406, the north-western boundaries of Hautu 1B 1B 2B 5B 3, 1B 1B 2B 5B 2B, and 1B 1B 2B 5B 2A and their production to the left bank of the Waimarino River, and along that bank to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Hautu 1B 1B 2B 5B 2A; thence generally northerly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Hautu 1B 1B 2B 5B 2B, 1B 1B 2B 5B 3, and 1B 1B 2B 5B 4, and the south-eastern, north-eastern, and north-western boundaries of Hautu 1B 1B 2B 5A, and the eastern boundary of parts Hautu 1B 1A and 1A, shown edged red, on M.L. Plan 4406, to the northern boundary of Hautu 1A; thence easterly along that boundary and its production to the right bank of the Tauranga-Taupo River; thence along that bank to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom Kaimanawa 1F and 2B. The area so described is subject to such rights of way as are created by Gazette, 1926, p. 2895, and 1927, p. 500.
SECOND SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY—TAUPO COUNTY
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 28 acres 3 roods 34 perches, more or less, being part Hautu 1B 1B 2A situated in Block II, Waiotaka S.D., as shown on M.L. Plan 4406.
The land described in the First and Second Schedules is more particularly shown on plan N. 113/2 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
