The Traffic (Otamatea County) Notice No. 3, 1969
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Otamatea County) Notice No. 3, 1969.

The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be:
(a) Closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year, and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.
(b) Limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon during the period commencing with the 11th day of February each year and ending with the Wednesday preceding Easter, and the period commencing with the Wednesday following Easter each year and ending with the 19th day of December shall be subject to the speed limitation fixed by the said regulation.
- The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 23rd day of December 1966†, which relates to Mangawhai Heads, in Otamatea County, is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Otamatea County, at Mangawhai Heads:
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the coast of the Pacific Ocean opposite the eastern end of the northern side of Wintle Road; thence to the eastern end of the said road; thence westerly and south-westerly generally along the northern and north-western sides of Wintle Road to its junction with Claud Road; thence north-westerly, westerly, and south-easterly generally along the side of Claud Road to its junction with Wintle Road; thence westerly and southerly generally along the northern and western sides of Wintle Road to a point opposite the western side of Molesworth Road; thence at right angles across Wintle Road to the western side of Molesworth Road; thence southerly along the said roadside to a point 16 chains measured southerly generally along the said roadside from Suffolk Street; thence by a right line easterly generally across Molesworth Road to the southern end of Lincoln Road; thence along the projection of the aforesaid right line to the shore of the Mangawhai Estuary; thence northerly generally along the shores of the Mangawhai Estuary and the Mangawhai Harbour; thence along the coast of the Pacific Ocean to the commencing point.

Revocation of the Reservation over a Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaration That the Onewa Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Vesting in the Takapuna City Council
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the Onewa Domain, described in the Schedule hereto, shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve, subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, pursuant to the said Act, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Takapuna, in trust, for recreation purposes.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—ONEWA DOMAIN—TAKAPUNA CITY, WAITEMATA COUNTY, AND NORTHCOTE BOROUGH

Reservation of Land and Declaration That Land be Part of the Wanganui River Scenic Reserves
PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for scenic purposes; and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to form part of the Wanganui River Scenic Reserves, to be administered as a scenic reserve by the Wanganui River Scenic Board.

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes; and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, in trust, for that purpose.
