Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the drainage rights created by transfer 280732, to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, as from the 1st day of September 1969, and subject also to the said drainage rights.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Whakatane Survey District, Whakatane County, for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of the Whakatane river control scheme; and, for the purposes of that public work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Whakatane and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Amending Licence of Waiheke Road Board to Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of the Okahuiti Creek, Waiheke Island, as a Site for a Footbridge and Causeway

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby amends the licence notified in the Gazette on 13 July 1967, p. 1202, authorising the Waiheke Road Board to use and occupy a part of the bed of the Okahuiti Creek, at Waiheke Island, as a site for a footbridge and causeway by deleting the word “footbridge” wherever it occurs and substituting the word “culvert”, and by adding after the expression “M.D. 10292” the expression “and M.D. 13476”.
