WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments, notice
is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other
Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to
execute a certain public work, namely, an electric power sub-
station in Ira Street in the City of Wellington; and, for the
purpose of that public work, the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land which is required to be taken is
deposited in the Public Offices of the Town Clerk to the said
Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the
said City, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours, and that any person
affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking
of the said land should, if he has any objection to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation,
send his written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to
the Town Clerk at his said office. And notice is hereby further
given that, if any objection is made, as aforesaid, a public
hearing of that objection will be held, unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the
time and place of that hearing; and at that hearing each
objector will be advised of the reasons for the proposed taking.
SCHEDULE
ALL those parcels of land situate in the City of Wellington,
first containing two decimal four three perches (2.43 p.) being
part Section 11, Watts Peninsula District, being also part Lot
162, Deposited Plan 1463, being part of the land comprised and
described in certificate of title, Volume 259, folio 101, Wellington Registry; as the same is more particularly shown on S.O.
Plan No. 27725, and thereon coloured blue; and, secondly,
containing two decimal three eight perches (2.38 p.) being part
Section 11, Watts Peninsula District, being also part Lot 163,
Deposited Plan 1463, being part of the land comprised and
described in certificate of title, Volume 252, folio 62, Wellington
Registry; as the same is more particularly shown on S.O. Plan
27725, and thereon coloured blue.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the
Auckland City Council held on the 23rd day of July 1969:
"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers
thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby
resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of fifty-five thousand three hundred dollars ($55,300)
to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 52, 1969, $55,300,
which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of
repaying on maturity that portion of the Tram Track Removal
Loan, 1956, $400,000, which matures on 1 September 1969, the
said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of decimal nought one eight (.018) of a cent in the dollar
($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value)
of all rateable property (of Auckland City), comprising the
whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each
and every year during the currency of the said loan or until
the loan is fully paid off."

thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby

on a loan of twenty-four thousand four hundred dollars
($24,400) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 51, 1969,
$24,400, which amount is proposed to be raised by the
Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the
purpose of repaying on maturity portion of the Drainage Additional Loan, 1958, $77,000, and portion of the Redemption
Loan No. 7, 1963, $96,000, Part $71,400, and the cost of raising
the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of decimal nought one nought five (.0105)
of a cent in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis
of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland
City), comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that
the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the
1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of
the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off."
