The Motor Launch (Ngāruawāhia, Waikato River) Notice 1969—Ngāruawāhia Domain Board

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Ngāruawāhia, Waikato River) Notice 1969.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall expire at the end of 5 years after that date.

  1. Regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962* shall not apply with respect to powered vessels and water skiers operating in the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto; subject to compliance with the conditions specified in the Second Schedule hereto, and so long as the notices specified in clauses 2, 3, and 4 of that Schedule are erected in accordance with those clauses.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water of the Waikato River bounded by the arc of a circle of 5 furlongs radius centred on the northernmost corner point (the Ngāruawāhia Water Ski Club property at Allotment 123A, Horotiu Parish) and as marked by posts on both banks of the Waikato River upstream and downstream of the said centre point.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. No person shall propel or navigate a powered vessel at a proper speed greater than 5 miles per hour when—
    (a) Within 100 ft of any other vessel; or
    (b) Within 100 ft of any person in the water or bathing or fishing.

  2. The area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall be shown cross-hatched on a plan of the lake, on a scale not less than 5 chains to 1 in., which shall be displayed on the lower portion of a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange with black lettering, which notice board shall be erected at each place where boats are normally launched.

  3. The limits of the area defined in the First Schedule hereto shall be marked by prominent posts, painted with 12 in. black and bright orange bands, erected as close as practicable to the edge of the river.

  4. The upper and middle portion of the aforesaid notice board shall contain the following notice—
    “NOTICE
    MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
    There is no speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers using the area shown cross-hatched on the plan below.
    No person shall propel or navigate a powered vessel at a proper speed greater than 5 miles per hour when
    (a) Within 100 ft of any other vessel; or
    (b) Within 100 ft of any person in the water or bathing or fishing.”

Revocation of Foreshore Licence—Tamaki Yacht Club (Incorporated)

NOTICE is hereby given that the licence* issued to Tamaki Yacht Club (Incorporated) for a boatshed and skidways site on the foreshore and bed of the sea at Bastion Point, in Auckland Harbour, is revoked.

The Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1969.
The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Franklin County, at Big Bay:
Big Bay Road (from a point 1 mile measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Hudson Road to the northern terminal point of Big Bay Road).

The Traffic (Waiheke Road District) Notice No. 1, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waiheke Road District) Notice No. 1, 1969.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, dated the 24th day of January 1967*, which relates to the Waiheke Road District, at Oneroa and Onetangi, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED WITHIN WAIHEKE ROAD DISTRICT

AT Oneroa:
Ocean View Road (from a point 1 chain measured westerly generally along the said road from Mako Street to a point 1 chain measured easterly generally along Ocean View Road from Tawa Street).

The Strand.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua County) Notice No. 4, 1969.
The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

So much of the Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 22nd day of June 1966†, as relates to the No. 33 State Highway (Te Ngae - Paengaroa) at Okere Falls, in Rotorua County, is hereby revoked.
