Edgecumbe Sewerage Extension Loan 1969, $23,500

THE following resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Whakatane County Council, held on Tuesday, 24 June 1969:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-three thousand five hundred dollars ($23,500) authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending sewerage reticulation at Edgecumbe, the Whakatane County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal 5766 of a cent in the dollar (.5766c in the $) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the County Town of Edgecumbe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, section 43, and the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers and authorities enabling it on that behalf, the Auckland Regional Authority doth hereby resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of $600,000 to be known as Drainage Loan No. 52, 1968, $2,100,000—Second Issue, $600,000, for the purposes of and incidental to the improving and adding to the Manukau Treatment Plant and main sewer extensions.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Auckland Regional Authority, convened for that purpose and held on 19 May 1969, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Authority held on 16 June 1969, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star on 24 May and 7 June 1969.

The Common Seal of the Auckland Regional Authority was hereto affixed in the presence of the Chairman and Secretary:

IN exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, section 42, in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it on that behalf, the Auckland Regional Authority doth hereby resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of $600,000 as a special loan to be known as Bulk Water Supply Loan No. 16, 1967, $1,000,000—Third Issue, $600,000, for the purposes of and incidental to the upgrading of the northern and western transmission mains of the bulk water supply system.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Auckland Regional Authority, convened for that purpose and held on 19 May 1969, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Authority held on 16 June 1969, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star on 24 May and 7 June 1969.

Consolidated Special Rates

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Papatoetoe City Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that, instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, a uniform consolidated special rate of one point nought six three one two cents (1.06312c) in the dollar ($) on all rateable property within the City of Papatoetoe be, and the same is hereby made, an annually recurring rate for the purposes of paying the annual charges plus 10 percent thereof payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates; and the Papatoetoe City Council hereby further resolves that the consolidated special rate shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of August in each year at the City Council office, St. George Street, Papatoetoe, to George Henry Mills Green, City Treasurer, or at such other place to such other person for the time being authorised by the Council.
