RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waitara Borough Flood Control and Erosion Prevention Loan 1969, $75,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $75,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitara Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of constructing a river flood and erosion protection works on the banks of the Waitara River, the said Waitara Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two nine eight two cents in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waitara; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Loan No. 43, Reticulation 1969—$1,500,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a loan of one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing electrical reticulation in the Board’s electric power and gas district and, for such purpose, to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.0819c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas District, comprising the Cities of Lower Hutt, Porirua, and Upper Hutt, part of the City of Wellington, the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, and Tawa; and part of the Hutt County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MARLBOROUGH HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Marlborough Harbour Board resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $47,607 authorised to be raised by the Marlborough Harbour Board for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Harbour Development Loan No. 3, 1962, which matures on 1 March 1969, the Marlborough Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.0521c in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the harbour district; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 6 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Marlborough Harbour Board held on 27 January 1969.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Traffic Signals and Control Loan 1969, of $155,500

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 11th day of June 1969:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty-five thousand five hundred dollars ($155,500) to be known as Traffic Signals and Control Loan 1969, of $155,500, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing and installing traffic signals and control in the City of Wellington, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one of a cent (.01c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Aged Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1969—$11,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $11,500 authorised to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting aged pensioners’ flats, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0071c in the dollar upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Motueka; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a copy of a resolution passed by the Council at a meeting held on the 10th day of June 1969.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mosgiel Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $90,000 authorised to be raised by the Mosgiel Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of installing sewer, storm-water, and water reticulation, the said Mosgiel Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two four cents (.24c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the Borough of Mosgiel, comprising the whole of the Borough of Mosgiel; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Mosgiel Borough Council held on the 3rd day of June 1969.
