Notice of Amendment to Area Declared Exempt from Portions
of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister
of Marine hereby amends the notice* declaring areas exempted
from portions of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, at Lake
Wakatipu, by deleting the words “Block I” from the area
secondly described in the Schedule thereto and substituting the
words “Block XXI” therefor.

The Motor Launch (Lake Wakatipu) Notice 1969
—
PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister
of Marine hereby gives the following notice.
—
NOTICE
- (1) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake
Wakatipu) Notice 1969.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its
publication in the Gazette, and shall expire at the end of 5
years after that date.
- Regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations
1962* shall not apply with respect to powered vessels and
water skiers operating in the area described in the First
Schedule hereto, subject to compliance with the conditions
specified in the Second Schedule hereto, and so long as the
notices specified in clauses 2 and 3 of that Schedule are erected
in accordance with those clauses.

FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water of Lake Wakatipu, at Kingston, within
200 yd of the edge of the water and bounded on the sides by
parallel lines 500 yd apart, the western boundary line being
extended in a 30° direction from a point on the shore line
about 75 yd east of the New Zealand Railways wharf embank-
ment marked by a large willow tree.

SECOND SCHEDULE
-
No person shall propel or navigate a powered vessel at
a proper speed greater than 5 miles per hour when—
(a) within 100 ft of any other vessel; or
(b) within 100 ft of any person in the water, or bathing, or
fishing. -
The area of water described in the First Schedule hereto
shall be shown cross hatched on a plan of the lake on a scale
not less than 5 chains to 1 in., which shall be displayed on
the lower portion of a notice board measuring not less than
2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange with black lettering,
which notice board shall be erected at each place where boats
are normally launched. -
The upper and middle portion of the aforesaid notice
board shall contain the following notice—
“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
There is no speed restriction for motor launches and
water skiers using the area shown cross hatched on the
plan below, subject to the following conditions:
No person shall propel or navigate a powered vessel
at a proper speed greater than 5 miles per hour when—
(a) within 100 ft of any other vessel; or
(b) within 100 ft of any person in the water or
bathing or fishing.”

Amending Licence Authorising Donald Noel Campbell,
Trading as Camrick Boat Construction, to Occupy a Site for
a Boat Building Shed in Whangaroa Harbour
—
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby amends the licence of 24 February 1969*, authorising
Donald Noel Campbell, trading as Camrick Boat Construction,
to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of Whangaroa
Harbour as a site for a boat building shed, by deleting the
words “Camrick Boat Construction” wherever they appear and
substituting therefor the words “Camrick Boats”.

Licensing the Glendowie Boating Club (Incorporated) to
Occupy a Site for Boat Storage at Ahu Point, Tamaki Estuary
—
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby:
-
Licenses and permits the Glendowie Boating Club
(Incorporated) (hereinafter called the licensee, which term
shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context
requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of
the foreshore and bed of the sea at Ahu Point, Tamaki Estuary,
as shown on plan marked M.D. 13340 and deposited in the
office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose
of maintaining thereon such buildings, facilities, and access for
boat storage as are shown on the said plan and whose
constructional details are shown on plans marked M.D. 9057,
M.D. 9528, M.D. 10866, and M.D. 12002; such licence to be
held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the
terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto: and -
Revokes the licence of 8 September 1965*, as amended on
6 October 1965†, issued to the licensee.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
-
This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regula-
tions 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
far as applicable, apply hereto. -
The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st
day of June 1969. -
The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be 6
dollars ($6).

Foreshore Licence at Riverton Harbour
—
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits Alexander Victor Breayley (herein-
after called the licensee, which term shall include his adminis-
trators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a
different construction) to use and occupy a part of the
foreshore and bed of the sea at Riverton Harbour, as shown
on plan marked M.D. 13259 and deposited in the office of the
Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintain-
ing a jetty thereon, as shown on said plan; such licence to be
held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the
terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
-
This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations
1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as
they are applicable, apply hereto. -
The term of this licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day
of June 1969. -
The premium payable by the licensee shall be 10 dollars
($10.00) and the annual rental payable shall be 10 dollars
($10.00).
