RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Supplementary Ancillary Flood Protection Works Loan 1968—
$2,800

THAT, in pursuance and excercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf
enabling, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves
as follows:

“‘That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of two thousand eight hundred dollars
($2,800) authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of
completing the purpose for which the Ancillary Flood Pro-
tection Works Loan 1967—$28,000 was sanctioned, the said
Whakatane Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of .0077 (decimal nought nought seven seven) cents in the
dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property comprised within the Borough
of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate, payable on demand, during the currency of the
loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.”

The Whakatane Borough Council, at a meeting on the
24th day of March 1969, passed the above resolution.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 11, 1968—$127,800

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and
for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan
of $127,800 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying on maturity those portions of Streets Reconstruction
Loan 1958—$320,000, Amalgamated Area Loan 1955—$170,000,
and Water Supply and Drainage Loan 1949—$506,000, which
will mature, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes
a special rate of decimal nought five six of a cent (.056c)
in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the un-
improved value of all rateable property in the City of Inver-
cargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly
on the 15th day of April in each year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully
paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City
Council held on Tuesday, 25 March 1969.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland
Regional Authority Act 1963, section 42, and in pursuance of
the authority conferred on it under the Local Authorities
Loans Act 1956, an in exercise of all other powers enabling
it on that behalf, the Auckland Regional Authority doth
hereby resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as
a special order, to borrow the sum of $50,000 as a special
loan to be known as Bulk Water Supply Loan No. 19, 1968,
$1,250,000—First Issue, $50,000, for the purposes of meeting
the costs of and incidental to the continued development of
the Hunua Catchments.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting
of the Auckland Regional Authority, convened for that
purpose and held on 17 February 1969, and confirmed at an
ordinary meeting of the said Authority held on 17 March
1969, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star
on 22 February and 15 March 1969.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amend-
ments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the
Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“'That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of eight thousand dollars ($8,000) authorised to be
raised by the Whakatane Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and
erecting a house thereon or purchasing land and
an existing house, the said Whakatane Borough Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought one
two five cents (.0125c) in the dollar upon the unimproved
rateable value of all rateable property over the whole of the
Borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be
