OTAGO CATCHMENT BOARD
NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF CLASSIFICATION LIST
Classification, under Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941, of Land in the Otago Catchment District
NOTICE is hereby given that:
(a) the land in the part of the Otago Catchment District
described in the Schedule hereto has been classified
under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act
1941, and the classification is deemed to be a valid
classification, as from the date on which this notice
is first published, namely, the 29th day of March
1969;
(b) the proportions in which rates are to be imposed under
that Act on the several classes of land are as
follows-
Class A ......... 100
Class B ........ 40
Class C ........ 1
(c) the classification list includes an apportionment by the
Valuer-General of the rateable value of the land in
those cases where portions of a piece of land are
classified in different classes;
(d) the classification list may be inspected at the office of
the Town Clerk, Queenstown, during a period of 28
days hereafter;
(e) the classification list is deemed to be a special roll of
ratepayers for the purposes of the Local Authorities'
Loans Act 1956;
(f) any person who is dissatisfied in respect of any matter
appearing in the classification list has the rights of
appeal provided by section 103 of the Soil Conservation-
vation and Rivers Control Act 1941, as substituted
by section 18 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Amendment Act 1959, which rights and any
other right to commence proceedings affecting the
classification must be exercised within 49 days here-
after. Appeals will normally be made to a Magistrate's
Court, but appeals in respect of the method or of
the form or validity of the classification as a whole
may be made to the Land Valuation Court only;
(g) the classification has been made by Douglas James
Cruickshank;
(h) copies of the instructions given by the Board to the
classifier and of the resolutions of the Board relative
to the classification may be inspected at the place
and during the period specified in paragraph (d) of
this notice.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Otago Catchment District, Lake
County, situated in Shotover Survey District, containing
1,180 acres more or less, and bounded as follows:
Commencing at the north-east corner of Section 54, Block
VII, Shotover Survey District, and proceeding generally
southerly and south-westerly by the Arrowtown-Queenstown
road to State Highway No. 6; thence south-westerly by the
said State highway to a point opposite the northern corner
of Section 66, Block IX; thence by the crossing of the State
highway and south-westerly by a public road, being the south-
eastern boundary of Sections 66 and 28, Block IX, aforesaid,
and the continuance of the boundary of Section 28 to Hayes
Creek; thence generally westerly and northerly by the crossing
of the said creek and by its left bank to the intersection of the
north-east boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 11444; thence north-
westerly by a right line to the south-west corner of Section
102, Block III; thence north-westerly by the south-west
boundary of the said Section 102 and its continuation to a
public road; thence north-easterly by that road to the western
boundary of Section 210R, Block III; thence generally north-
westerly and north-easterly by the said boundary of Section
210R to the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block III, afore-
said; thence south-easterly to the shore of Lake Hayes; thence
north-easterly by that shore, being the boundary of a public
road, to a point opposite the southern boundary of Section 6,
Block VI; thence westerly by the crossing of the said public
road and by the south boundary of Section 6, aforesaid, to
Slope Hill Road; thence generally north-easterly and northerly
by the said road to Speargrass Flat Road; thence generally
easterly by Speargrass Flat Road to the point of commence-
ment.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Fountain of Friendship
Lodge Friendly Society, Register No. 349, held at Auckland, is
dissolved by instrument registered at this office the 26th day
of March 1969, unless within 3 months from the date of the
Gazette in which this advertisement appears, proceedings be
commenced by a member or other person interested in or
having a claim on the funds of the society to set aside such
dissolution and the same to be set aside accordingly.
