THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Incorporated), Wellington Branch, Order 1969. 2. The Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Incorporated), Wellington Branch, an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of the sheltered workshop at 18 Glen Road, Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt, from: (a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect of persons employed in that workshop; and (b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the Minimum Wage Act 1945.

  2. The Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Incorporated), Wellington Branch, Order 1963 is hereby revoked.

Exempting Land in the South Auckland Land District From the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925 ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE
THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE
ALL the mines, veins, and seams and strata of coal, fireclay, and other minerals in or under all that parcel of land containing 361 acres 2 roods 9 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on D.P. 31211 and Lot 1 on D.P. 32284, and being Allotments 139 and 140 and the western portion of Allotment 143, and parts of Allotments 141, 142, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 153, and 224 and part of the eastern portion of Allotment 143, Parish of Waipa; as is more particularly described in and delineated in green on the plan of certificate of title, Volume 883, folio 299 (South Auckland Land Registry).
