PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 21st day of January 1969 and published in Gazette, 30 January 1969, No. 4, p. 109, authorising the construction of the New Plymouth southern motorway, by deleting therefrom the words “Awanue Street” and substituting the words “Awanui Street”.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day of March 1969
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 34 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Westland and Karamea Mining Order 1969.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

It is hereby declared that, on and after the commencement of this order, no mining privilege affecting any land in the Westland and Karamea Mining Districts shall be granted without the written consent of the Minister of Mines.

Subject to the provisions of section 34 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1940, no mining privilege affecting any land in the Westland and Karamea Mining Districts, whether granted before or after the commencement of this order, shall be transferred, leased, mortgaged, pledged, or otherwise disposed of or dealt with, whether by the holder thereof or by any executor or administrator, without the previous written consent of the Minister of Mines; nor shall any such mining privilege be liable to forfeiture for any cause whatsoever, and no certificate of abandonment in respect of any such mining privilege shall be given without the like consent.

The Orders in Council set out in the Schedule to this order are hereby revoked.

Correcting an Error in an Order in Council Declaring Trustees to be a Leasing Authority

PURSUANT to section 25 (j) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1924, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby corrects an error in the Order in Council made on 4 November 1968, and published in Gazette, 14 November 1968, No. 74, p. 2071, declaring the trustees of the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies Leases Act 1908, by amending the name of the Maori freehold land described in the said Schedule to “Te Ti B. 3”.
