NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Te Kuiti Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works, namely the erection of a sewerage treatment station on the land described in the Schedule hereto; and, for the purpose of such public works, the said land is and will require to be taken by the said Corporation under the provisions of the above Acts. And notice is further given that a full legal description and plan of the said land so required is deposited in the offices of Low, Chapman, and Carter, Solicitors, King Street, Te Kuiti, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objections thereto, must state their objections, in writing, and send same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the said solicitors, Low, Chapman, and Carter, King Street, Te Kuiti.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing ten acres (10A. 0R. 0P.), more or less, being the block situated in Block XV, Orahiri Survey District, called Te Kumi A. 22 Block, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 6B, folio 481 (South Auckland Registry).

Bulk Water Supply Loan No. 17, 1967, $500,000—Second Issue, $140,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority has resolved to the following effect:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $140,000 authorised to be raised by the Auckland Regional Authority under the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes of meeting the costs of and incidental to the continued development of the Hunua Catchment of the bulk water supply system, the Auckland Regional Authority hereby makes a special rate of the several amounts in the dollar set out in the fourth column of the Schedule hereto on the rateable values set out against such amounts respectively in the third column of such Schedule of all rateable property of the local authorities listed in the first column of such Schedule and set against such amounts and rateable values respectively, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, which shall be 35 years from the 27th day of September 1968 or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Property Loan No. 4, 1968, $194,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority has resolved to the following effect:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $194,000 authorised to be raised by the Auckland Regional Authority under the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes of meeting the costs and expenses of and incidental to the additional costs of constructing the Authority’s headquarters building and adding an additional floor thereto, the Auckland Regional Authority hereby makes a special rate of the several amounts in the dollar set out in the fourth column of the Schedule hereto on the rateable values set against such amounts respectively in the third column of such Schedule of all rateable property of the local authorities listed in the first column of such Schedule and set out against such amounts and rateable values respectively; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, which shall, at the lender’s option, be for periods of 6, 10, and 20 years from 1 March 1969 or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $48,500 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and improving sewer reticulation and the existing treatment plant in the Parakai area, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 2.9344c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Parakai Drainage Area, as defined on Map W. 819 deposited at the county offices; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of an extract from the minutes passed by the Waitemata County Council on 28 November 1968.
